Calder Weaving employs over a score of staff from the local village and many of the staff have been with Calder Weaving for quite a number of years.
The present Managing Director is Brendan Clayton with his brother Alan as a production Director and Mary their sister in charge of the administration side of the business.
Principally involved in the manufacturing of curtain lining, Calder Weaving has diversified into other fields, presently weaving furnishing fabrics and household fabrics.
In more recent years, Calder Weaving has been actively investing in new hi-tech textile machinery, namely 4 Somet high speed looms. Not only has the company concentrated on the weaving division but have also invested in raising machines, consequently enabling us to increase productivity whilst increasing our own quality of standards.
The company supplies some of the most prestigious retailers on the planet.
